I have not heard this in many years. It's good to hear it again after a considerable amount of time. A finely sounding album.

They really do deserve to be called progressive masters. It is not just the musicianship which is outstanding, and it is not just because all of them are virtuosos, but because they have very fine knowledge of how to compose pieces (no, they are not songs), with exceptional appropriateness, and astuteness and carefulness to the finest details possible. This is truly a gift. May their greater albums still be ahead of us.

Went through much of Blut Aus Nord's discography the past week, including Ultima Thulee, all three Memoria Vetusta, The Work Which Transforms God, Hallucinogen, and the two Disharmoniums. I don't have much to report back on, still conflicted on legacy of TWWTG, understand why Hallucinogen was so popular but don't love it, do love all three Memoria Vetusta albums. Melodic guitarwork is transcendental at times on those, and the fake drum sounds I can look past.

A good afternoon to you, North. Fair enough. I believe the later trilogies are provided with a real drummer. Most definitely, the most recent recordings are a human drummer aside from the electronic effects.
