Must listen to some of my earliest and still favourites today, though not listened to often any longer.

On some occasions there is nothing like Norwegian Avant-Garde. A necessary return to some distinguished acts, which for me is a need, rather than a want and it is not something I listen to because it is avant-garde.

What this release has captured, most authentically, is the true spirit of war and its hard-earned wisdom which is accompanied by it.

The immortalized spirit of Valfar lives in the sinews of Windir's music. My most cherished memories with this recording are forever imprinted on my mind. But it isn't the memories but the quality of the music which bears witness to the magnificence and the glory of Windir.
