yeah those Zyklon records have really got me recently. I remember not liking them as much when I was younger but these days I totally get them. Great underrated death metal. The Emperor guys really knew what they were doing.

Yes they did. But it was Ihsahn's progressive riffs in contrast to Samoth's more death/black style which ultimately gave way to a divided path, musical-wise. They do still perform live Emperor together, which is great.

Yeah. I'm really hoping one day Emperor might do another album but it seems Ihsahn's pretty consistently said they won't.

That would be for me one of the greatest musical events of recent times. One can only hope but I do very much doubt that it will happen. Unless, Ihsahn grows weary of his solo works, which is not entirely outside the realm of possibilities.
