Truly without rival and remarkably timeless, never to be repeated. Incomparable. How can a debut's musical ideas be so complete and flawless, is a mystery to me.

From what I've seen online Nile has a reputation for not being great live. For what it's worth I really enjoyed their last album, and am greatly looking forward to next year's release.

The production and the overall sound from all instruments on this recording are so enormously powerful. My great love for the bass sound and the bass playing and also the drums are so well-placed. And Hetfield and his rhythm guitars. And the solos! The sheer mass of sound. Oh dear lord. Never gets old.

Fantastically stylish rock/metal. However you wish to classify it, although many times, typifying music falls into ambiguities. An outstanding album, regardless of the wishful desire to pin it down.
