I shall be starting this early afternoon with this one of a kind of album. Bearing light and in the stellar domain.

A modern classic in my opinion if the album was a bit shorter or at least the last few tracks were offered as bonuses in a second disc or special edition. Much more sensible, I think. In any case, the melodies and atmosphere on this album is unmatched by anything any major band in my most recently memory, in the past 6-7 years or so has been able to achieve. At least, to the best of my knowledge, that is.

This band and more particularly this album is very close and dear to me. Pure Dionysian ecstasy. Solid as a rock, heavy as the night.

Wonderfully dramatic recording. I take a great liking to this band and this album.

Thanks for the reminder to hear Secrets of the Moon again. Been too long.

The grandest of musical ambitions captured in this fantastic recording. Enslaved moved further and further away from this sound and I will sadly confess that I really do miss the Enslaved that they were around this era. I do not by any means dislike the new era and I listen to it as equally as my early favourites but the musical climate of Enslaved in these days was, in my opinion, of a completely different inkling. Wiser, shrewder, crueler.

Some breathtaking melodies on this album and overall a phenomenal recording.

Self-explanatory. Any description would be self-defeating.
