lol, I can understand most Death Metal vocalists just fine.

I love lyrics, especially in Metal. Some of our heroes have some very profound and important things to say. When a song has lyrics that truly mean something, it can enhance the enjoyment it ten-fold.

Same here.

I like a lot of lyrics that most would consider crap. Metalucifer is a fine example of great bad lyrics.

I like GOOD lyrics, but bad lyrics don't bother me, either, as long as the music is good. Sometimes it irritates me when lyrics are supposed to be good, but I can't figure out what the hell the song is even about.

Let me get this straight, noobles...you don't like vocals? You ever consider you might be listening to the wrong type of music? Shit dude, no wonder like one album in 50 is worthy of your attention.

I probably should have phrased that better... since none of my favourite albums are instrumental. I guess I only like vocals if they're used really well and needed in the music. For a lot of metal bands, especially death metal or tech/spazzcore, it seems like the vocals are just there to make the band easier to grasp and don't add anything to the music except make it harder to hear everything else.

It goes:
Music
Vocals (how they sound)
Lyrics (what he's saying)

Exactly the way I feel.

I think vocals are just as important as the rest of the music, but a particularly bad lyric can ruin a whole song for me.
