I see very well Blind Guardian (with guest female vocalist) covering à la Blind Guardian Bonnie Tyler/Meat Loaf's Total Eclipse Of The Heart...

also, it would be great to hear a metalcore version of Strawberry Fields Forever (The Beatles) by a good metalcore band (KsE for example...)

Not really their type of thing. DeP'd do it better, imo.

For KsE, how's about Hit Me With Your Rhythm Stick by Ian Drury?

Hmmmmm...

I guess the rest is true.

I always say Atreyu are to Metalcore what (old) Mötley Crüe were to metal... catchy as fuck but not much more to expect from them.. just a good fun band ! we need some of these... A7X or DragonForce are other names that come to my mind in that particular category...

I think Atreyu went a bit overboard on the vamp imagery (they've dropped it now, no?), but I agree with you.
Dragonforce kick A7X's arse.

I beg to differ, my good man. Atreyu are forever branded on my "Bullshit that sucks horrid cock", whereas Limp Bizkit is only on my "Bullshit that sucks cock" list.

...and for the record, I like Edguy.

Anyways...

Coheed & Cambria's "Time Consumer" covered by Type O Negative. Just because it'd be amusing to hear the extreme contrast between Claudio Sanchez's voice and Peter Steele's extremly bass-y voice.

Thicko.

it's not bad but I would have liked Maiden's Can I Play With Madness to get that same treatment instead... still it proves how right I was considering Atreyu kind of a hair metal band to the metalcore scene... :D

I actually think Atreyu are quite shitty otherwise, I just find this song mildly entertaining.

You mean the contrast between a man and woman vocalist? Nick and Jessica did it first.
