That said, with its enhancing effects, music you enjoyed while not stoned gets even better with a good spliff of ganja. It just makes mediocrity bearable which is quite helpful in today's world.

It's not about that we NEED weed to enjoy music. It's simply a better experience. You should try it sometime listening to Contra Ignem Fatuum, lost in the woods.

Trance is probably my favorite electrostuff, since the days of old Paul Oakenfold in the 90's.

I assume it is but I've never smoked weed while I wasn't already drunk.. Metal while drunk however is fucking awesome.

I can't really get into it, too repetitive usually. But I do a lot of drugs (besides weed) so DOOF DOOF DOOF can sometimes be fun, but I really need at the very least a good dose of alcohol, if not something much harder. Sober it does nothing for me.

Anyway, this was a psytrance festival. I like the psy stuff a bit better.

So do I. A remember a rave in my city with Infected Mushroom, back in 2001, when they ruled. Good times.

I like a lot of the bands from a label Nima recommended me, can't remember the name right know... it's great stuff to put in the background while you're at work.

Ultimae?

Yeah I love that stuff. Have got heaps of it in my collection. Wouldn't call it trance though. It's Ambient, or Downtempo.

If you like Ultimae, check out Aleph Zero. Also a great label in the same genre.

I know Ultimae's bands are not Trance, but (psy)Ambient indeed. I was talking about my electronic tastes in general. When I am in the right mood I like breakcore too, but that's very rare.

I pretty much have been smoking up then practicing. It makes it much harder obviously and if you can't do both, you're technique is flawed to begin with, so it shouldn't matter.

Drinking is fun, but it has a limited window of fun time, but with weed you can pretty much party all day. Nothing beats speed though, period.
