My parents don't listen to music.

Dump them and get new parents.

My father mostly listens to classical music.
My mother like chanson and jazz (not too edgy).
None of them has a real passion for music.

My parents listen to music ocassionally, basically spanish and french songwriters, some 60's pop and my mother also classical, specially live opera and ballet.

My mom loves music. Mostly The National Radiohead and Dead Can Dance. I introduce her to stuff she appreciates every now and then (The Middle East and Jackson C Frank were the last two). My dad listens to dad rock (Rush and Dire Straits) and modern rock on the radio.
