Apparently I missed that The Axis of Perdition and Intestine Baalism (two of my favorite bands) have released albums near the end of 2008. Wanted to give you guys a heads up cuz I know there are fans of both here.

Was I hibernating or something?

TAOP's album isn't officially out until later this month, not sure where Metal Archives get their information from. Must get Deleted Scenes reviewed...

A canopy album should be coming out in early 2009, but I don't want to jinx it

Just read that new Heaven and Hell should be expected in March/April.

That's just great. Looking forward to the new Maiden too. Hopefully with their extensive Somewhere in Time tour, they would have gotten back their 'old' touch and hopefully put out a real classic.

Song titles for the new Heaven and Hell: Bible Black, Double Pain, Atom + Evil, Rock 'N' Roll Jesus, Breaking Into Heaven, Neverwhere.

Static X has a new album coming out, 'Cult of Static'. Gay title but it's supposed to have even more guitar and Mustaine even did a guest solo for a track.

Worth checking out, I suppose. They're gradually getting better.

If new Wintersun happens I'm going to be very pleased. Hopefully they'll go on tour. With Ensiferum. Petri Lindroos can stay at home.

Really? New studio album?

Nobody mentioned the new Saxon, it has leaked for some time and it kicks serious ass.

Heard Hellcat from a Terrorizer CD, really liked it. I must get more into Saxon, had Wheels Of Steel/Strong Arm Of The Law for ages.

Saxon have released many mediocre albums over the years... I hope this one will be good enough to give it a few spins but I seriously doubt they could ever return to their early 80s form.

Hopefully the new Masterplan album will be great. The first two are killers but "MK II" was weak in my opinion. Mike Dimeo needs to put out a more throaty performance with more guts to make us try to stop imagining how much better it would sound with Lande behind the mic.

They're nothing compared to the classics... And, anyway, when I talked about mediocre albums, I was referring to Innocence Is No Excuse, Rock The Nations or Destiny... Those are baaaaaaaaad!!!

I think so yeah, I've seen it listed on 2 sites now, as Halford IV. Here is one of them --> http://rateyourmusic.com/release/album/ ... alford_iv/
