A bit of Venetian Snares or other suitably bonkers electronica does the job, too.

Most of my time in the clubs gym I'm rowing on ergometers , which is quite exausting (its endurance type of exercise not power) and you must stay really focused whole the time and it's pretty difficult when it's silence. I tried once with mp3 and trust me then it's just annoying.

Generally, I'll just listen to music when I'm doing my cardio workout. When lifting weights, except may be when I'm taking a break or waiting to use a machine, I'll generally just put my porto-CD player aside (nope, I don't have an iPod yet  ) and concentrate on my workout while passively listening to whatever's on the radio at my gym.

I have to admit that those ergometers do kind of grow on you after a while...

I guess since I only work out when playing DDR (Home version only) that my fav album is the soundtrack for the game.

Buttafly :dio:

Really though the music pisses me off but damn does it work, I lost 14 pounds in the first 7 days that I started using it.

DDR kicks ass. :dio:

yes but the worst thing are those new ergometers with those new special display's which can tell whenever you're focused or thinking on something else (how it can tell? it haves "force curve" and it gives you diagram of quality of each stroke and while you're focused it's all alright but when your mind goes off it shows on display (the curve shows that)).

Usually faster Iron Maiden material, Rob Zombie, and Hanzel Und Gretyl.

Sodom. Ministry. Pretty much anything thrash or industrial. Though lately I've gotten into the habit of listening to something new every time I work out, and those genres/subgenres can vary.

I don't really lift weights, just do lots of cardio.

With that in mind, I used to listen to all sorts of music while doing it. Until I tried it with Dragonforce. Now I have trouble working out to anything else, it just keeps my legs moving fast no matter how tired I get!
