This was reviewed this week, thought it was about time the awesome Behexen got recognised here, although MSFHG isn't their best work IMO.

Really? I kinda like their newer stuff over the older...
I never could get into too heavy into these guys. They are pretty decent, but not outstanding, I dunno, too many death metal - like blastbeats (as opposed to the black metal slicing) for my taste.

And please excuse my probable incoherence, just woke up and barely into the first cup of coffee.

Actually, my favourite of theirs is By the Blessing of Satan, so the one previous to MSFHG. IMO that one and this one are both preferable to the earliest records. So I kind of agree that the later stuff is better than the earlier, so long as we consider BTBOS to be in the "later" category. (I think this is fair as they have a pretty similar sound)

Children of Bodom's Are You Dead Yet. It's still as technically amazing as anything else they've done but it epitomizes why they are no good. Poor songwriting and the bad direction that the began heading in has ruined their last two albums.
