Wow. This is huge. Really fucking huge. I love fucking In Flames... He's a large part of the amazing albums they created ( Fuck you haters. ) and I really hope they're able to continue releasing material that continually is pushing the genre they help pioneer and continue to influence the bands around them as they have.

I really wish him the best of luck. I've talked to him a few times and each time he was fucking awesome, and very indulging to any questions from his fans. I'm hoping he can beat the alcoholism and maybe, who knows, return.

I've been a die hard In Flames fan for 11 years now, and guys, this really bums me out. They've been a huge influence on my life. The music, the lyrics, everything. I consider them very important to me. I'm sure any of you music nuts that have THAT favorite band feel the same way about another band.

Shit, nothing but In Flames is playing out of my computer or any other player for awhile, man. This sucks.

Well hey, at least it's not some douchey club techno shit.

Anyway, Stromblad created In Flames, and the first few albums were very largely his. Perhaps irrationally, I always blamed that band's descent into mediocrity on Friden, leaving Stromblad blameless. Stromblad's guitar was a huge gateway for me entering metal, and even if I've given up on Gothenburg for years, the break on 'Lord Hypnos' will always be brilliant!

Beat the addiction Jesper, come back with a new band and go in the post Jester Race direction you always secretly wanted to travel.

Z.P. Theart quits Dragonforce.

Sad to see him go, but then again, they could easily find a much better vocalist.

Now if only all the other members would quit, too, the band might start to sound better.
