I hear what you're saying but isn't that what you expected it to be. I don't think it is bad by any means. I've also never listened extensively to CC just an album or random track here and there.

Edit: None of the tracks are awful besides some lack of bass and repetitive drumming but as a whole they all do merge together. On their own, though, each track is pretty awesome.

Just checked out God Forbid, too, and they are generic for sure.

Listening to a preview on youtube of all the tracks on the new Cannibal corpse album. Like someone said before, sounds like it won't be an album to listen to start to finish, but the individual songs are great. Will be checking out the whole thing soon.

I listened to it only once so far, but it sounds pretty much like Dominate. The new singer Christian Palin has a voice similar to Gus Monsanto but with limited range, especially when he needs to hit those high notes. Imo he is the weakest of the three. Right now this album sits on third place below Sanctus Ignis and Dominate, but i'm sure it will grow on me.

If Candlemass has retained the vocalist from their 2007 album, I'll be excited. And excitement about Behemoth isn't necessary to state. Even more excited about the preceding tour.

New Suffocation has me excited. The self-titled was awesome, if they can meet that or even better it, I'll be very happy indeed.

I don't know if I want to check out the new LoG or not. I generally dislike them but the new one is supposed to be amazing. It leaked, in case that wasn't clear.

Just listen to more than Contractor, because that's the worst track. Some quite surprising moments all in all, although I need more listens before I decide if it's any good or not.
