We should get some Primus reviews up in here.

Can I get an amen?

Although I love Primus, i dont think that they belong to this site.

With that said i think that Frizzle Fry is classic.

Yeah, of course. Frizzle Fry, Sailing The Seas Of Cheese or Pork Soda. And a band with Possessed, Blind Illusion & Godflesh members are worthy of a review here...

But Possessed & Blind Illusion deserve their classic/archive review first :)

If Nick Cave can get a review here, I think Primus is more than worthy of a review here.

I really need to give my Primus albums time, as they're not clicking.

Sailing The Seas Of Cheese took a bit of time for me, but I haven't had a problem getting into any of their other stuff.

Thayer Cabin - Thayer Cabin

They're a really strange accoustic band and I havent heard anything like them before. I got their album on iTunes a couple of months ago. Think you can squeeze a review for them guys?

There's no need to review Primus here, anyway. We all know the albums are an easy 100/100. :)

Is there a single deathcore band worth reviewing? Every time I hear any it is incredibly mediocre and tedious.

Is there really a quantifiable difference between "deathcore" and death metal? I dun think so.

Of course. Obituary/Morbid Angel/Bloodbath/Bolt Thrower v. random deathcore band?

No need to generalize, there are plenty of other deathcore bands other than Job For A Cowboy, and not all of them contain pig squeals and are not based around breakdowns.

And if you want to get technical about it, pig squeals and pig vocals were around before the sudden popularity of deathcore. Take bands like Prostitute Disfigurement for example.

Hmm this reiterates Legacy's point but deathcore generally has really stale and tedious breakdowns and generic, boring vocals with no dynamics. Bands like Whitechapel sounded like a mediocre yet acceptable death band till the one minute dull, chugging breakdown which made me turn it off.

And maybe I'll be checking out Glass Casket.

I try not to be so technical about it. Generally speaking, breakdowns and pig squeals are what seperates Deathcore from Death Metal. Of course there are little details and exceptions and all that, but they're not necessary. Being as general and brief as possible:

"breakdowns & BREE BREE"

Not to be an ass, but by using words like "stale", "tedious", "generic", and "boring", you're making a subjective point and not quantifiable, like I said.

Zad, you don't really answer the question...

Legacy makes a better point with the pig squeals. Although tons of death metal bands have breakdowns. But according to that criterion !T.O.O.H.! could be a deathcore band. Maybe they are o_0

In my opinion, deathcore is just a title we give to death metal bands who we don't like...for example: new Cryptopsy.
