Title is pretty self-explanatory. Have at it!

I like lots of pop music, and don't care who knows. Old Madonna, recent Beyonce, the new Shakira single, it's all good. Obviously meant for a different mood than, say, Sunn O))) or Voivod, but it's still a good deal better than a lot of Power and Glam Metal, for one.

I don't mind some pop either; Katy Perry actually has a pretty unique voice; but I just can't stand Beyonce. It's not the music, it's just something about her voice that irks me.

Anyway, as for my guilty pleasures... I actually like older Linkin Park. Meteora was the first CD I ever bought with my own money and to this day I still dig the Oriental-Techno vibe. Unfortunately, their newer material is nothing like what they put out before.

I've got this thing for 'boo-hoo broad' music, like Lisa Germano, Hope Sandoval, Isobel Campbell and Tori Amos. It's a nice alternative to all the grim tremolo picking and chunky-ass riffs and whatnot. Enya and Sigur Rós are great, too; though I don't consider the latter as a guilty pleasure, seeing as they're more acceptable to metalheads.

All the music I like is awesome so I don't have any.

Celtic Woman. It must be said. Maybe it's the Celt heritage I have in me.

I also have a thing for early rap, though about anything released under that genre in the past ten years sucks.

Him, too. He's got more substance than any other pop artist, I think.

I'd say Michael Jackson too. I love the album Thriller, but the intro to "P.Y.T" isn't something I'd want people to hear blasting from my car.

haha, I like how the thread title has the (music) qualifier in it, lest any misunderstandings should arise.

Good thing, too, or else I would've posted things that the world just isn't ready to hear.

I just didn't want people forgetting that this is in the General Music Discussion section. Now if I made one for Helheim... I'd be afraid to see some of the responses.

Ah yes; I had forgotten the open-mindedness of thrash metal fans.

I feel more self-conscious about listening to metal around other people these days than other genre's of music.

I don't feel guilty listening to any music. Europe fucking rule. Bon Jovi fucking rule. Shit, Biffy Clyro are even starting to become quite good.

You sir are an idiot, "Fucking Poseurs" its a local hip hop band from my town, they often play covers of Meshugga, Behemot and Dream Theater, i would provide you a link but i cant because the guys are poor and dont have internet.


BTW if you feel guilty about listening to any music, you are a fucking poseuer.
