although it would avoid heavy discussions and topics in the 'wrong' section, i don't want another new forum.

no.

I've decided to accept this forum, but I think my head will explode if another forum is added (especially under the rule of Eyesoruos)

Man I wish I could ban people!

Personally, I don't think an Avant-Garde forum would go over well. It would get less attention than the Rock and Alternative forums. I'm not against it, I could care less if it was here, really. I probably like bands in that genre, but I know I'm not a big fan of the genre as a whole. I think the Alternative forum should cover it.

Huh? It wasn't my idea

I can't see the point especially, but I do think if we did have one it would be cool. Just not cool enough to bother with all the hassle of introducing. (All the polls it would inevitably entail, for example  )

And by the way: I would put Albert Ayler in "Alt & Other Borderline Genres" seeing as how that's where we seem to have been discussing jazz. But now we also have "General" so, who knows?

First I thought General would just be for all-genre end of year polls (ie "Best non-metal albums of 2005"), but then Azrael put Aghora in... Which I thought should go in the Alt forum....

*head explodes*

Are you making it your mission in life to annoy me? I suggested this in the site forum and you poo-pooed the idea.

There are enough forums as is.

Just change the name of 'Alternative Metal & Other Borderline Genres' to 'Pretty Much Everything Else' and we're covered.

Yes, because without people will undoubtedly post nu-metal threats in other forums, then we'll all get pissed at that.
