An ending to a day, that felt like a fine Autumn day, that in the midst of torturous scorching summer season.

I had only heard this album a few years ago after its release and I have not heard it ever again, ever since. This album is more than an hour long, and it is now my second time listening to it.

One of the better new wave of death metal bands out there currently, but this is a little boring so far compared to their previous work. I genuinely think some of these bands run out of steam quickly - look at Gatecreeper jumping around in the subgenre, currently landed on Dismember worship...

Abbath's unbounded mastery of the axe, never ceases to amaze me, with its stunning precision, unmistakable heaviness, and the sheer grit of the drum and the bass. The vocals by the maestro, is never out of place, the lyrical content, suiting, the artwork, prime. I also want to add that some section of this particular recording, but not his debut, does sound like some segments of Dissection, Reinkaos-era; not of the exact same nature, but there are some strong echoes, at least on some tracks. I do understand very well, that Abbath is, completely his own man, and I would never think twice about the contrary, but it is, a privilege, to be in midst of man (Abbath) that oozes such brilliance, in many different respects, without even him aiming for it, at all.
