I've always thought The Gallery, and all of Dark Tranquillities albums are annoyingly inconsistent.

to each his own I guess. I really like the Gallery, I would even add Haven as classic but that would probably get me stoned. Haven hasn't one single weak track. Then again I'm kinda biased Dark Tranquillity is amongst my favorite bands. I can be extremely critical of bands I like though, it's just that I believe they have never released anything bad up to this day.

Are people going to be taking other peoples' nominations and hunting any of these down? I bought Cowboys From Hell (edit: a long time ago...) after hearing about all how amazing Pantera were, etc, and finding it very average. Are classics just old stuff that's paved the way for better bands? I know it depends to an extent, but do people listen regularly to these albums? I do to SSOASS...

I listen to CFH regularly. The album is great groove/thrash metal if you ask me. Every song is good and gets me banging my head as I'm driving down the road. Every song is awesome and fun to listen to. Or do people disagree?

In a classic album, I shoot for every song being great and timeless with no filler tracks and no boring parts. I should be drawn into every song every time I listen to the album.
