Post subject: Is Och Slik - White Kingdom : My sideproject
PostPosted: Mon May 29, 2006 4:35 pm
You may know me from my "band" called Darkness of Heaven which main focus is cake.

This is my sideproject called "Is Och Slik" ( swedish/danish meaning "Ice And Candy", or if it's even more swedish it probably means "Ice And Such")

This band is mainly dealing with Winter just as the name hint, hello?!? And the music is like candy to the ear, which is the result of hard work and commitment - this music is going to make me rich, so hurry up and dload the music before i start charge you ppl

Me - Vokills
Me - programming
Me - spirit
Me - stealing windsamples from the web

Instruments:
Packard Bell Computer 1.800 mHz
MAGIX music maker 10 deLuxe ( this is a really crappy program)

Mies and Kathy.. no need to dload it  you heard it months ago

Both link contains the same file, so no need to dload it twice ( still haven't signed up)

"thanks for the support, i'm happy you liked it - support the madness!!!" :D

thanks alot

next time i'm going to make music like this i will have to use a keyboard in order to make my ideas come to life - 100 times better than this, cuz the program i used was really shitty - only good at distortion!! :x but so far i can't effort one

Eh, it was actually quite good...yet it seemed like more of an intro than a song.

yes.. it's probably a good discription. I would have liked to it to be longer, but due to the "limitation" of the program it seemed impossible to do so, without making it boring. I was actually thinking of it as an intro myself when i started making it, an intro to a looong soong
With a keyboard i could have added piano and other sorts of instruments and choir as well, with lot's of great atmospheric melodies intwined into each other, if that's the right word for it.

no i don't  scientist and astronomers (or what ever) do :D okay, it's probably more than 15.000 years. don't worry yet  there's some sort of cyclus to it all, due to the orbit around the sun which isn't static as one might think

nope, but thanks for asking :)

howevar!... i might purchase an expensive Roland keyboard (E-80) really soon. So hopefully, i can start making some cool ambient black metal shit with piano, violin, cello stuff etc. either intertwined or as intro/outro. I don't yet.
The good thing about this keyboard is it will be much easier to make music (compared to the stupid crappy program i use to sit in front for hours just to make a little melodi), and the keyboard have some of the most realistic instruments, since they( or at least some of them) are created from wav recordings of real instruments, instead of midi-files which many cheap keyboards use. Later i might expand it with some oriental instruments and more classic instruments.

The guys from Beneath the Dying Moon recorded this track many years ago using a Roland XP-80 keyboard, a ten years old keyboard. So the E-80 is probably way better, since it's the newest keyboard released this year. But i still need to listen to it by myself before buying it.
just a demonstration what the the old keyboard were capable of:

i will
tried the E-80 keyboard today and it sucked, it couldn't do what i wanted it to do and i wasn't all that satisfied with the sound quality... but i've already found a better keyboard which i cost the same.. still a Roland, but with a lot's of options, more customizing, more instruments, and more tangents. In addition, i think i even get a free expansion card of own choice with lot's of professional recorded instruments.. unfortunately i haven't tried it yet, the shop closed just as i was realized this.
I'm actually quite happy with that decision, cuz E-80 is for professional losers who play cheesy music live (most likely parties.. you know, that type everybody wants to shoot). I'm not even sure it could export the music to a computer.
