Hi everyone! Here's a project that I started recently together with a Norwegian friend (I'm from Sweden). It's all about brutal, raw, noisy Black Metal with maybe a little progressive twist somewhere. There's a youtube clip to check out:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AKcRGTOUmHM

and also a myspace page with more songs and a blog that contains lyrics for the published songs:

http://www.myspace.com/lidiceband

Don't hesitate to let me know how you feel about this. I'm not very sensitive so please tell me your honest opinion and if you would like to know more just ask!

Ventilating an opinion:

I listened to all 4 tracks, and heard very little that was raw: in fact I didn't hear much black metal at all. This sounds like post-black metal, with some quite good guitarwork (and some less good) in places. I'd suggest lowering/distorting the vocals in the mix, I've always hated being able to understand the lyrics in this type of music, and feel the vocals add another instrument to the "wall of sound" if lower in the mix.

The guitarwork is accomplished: I preferred the metal riffs to the psychedelic breaks (I did like the quiet break in "Der Untergang"), and I'd emphasize the former to the later in the future, if it were my band.

Great many thanks for your (obviously) knowing feedback. I have been thinking that I should lower the vocals a notch so that is good to hear. Everone interested should keep an eye on the thread because hopefully there will be a demo out during 2012.

Again thanks for your time!

Good luck, again, I think you guys have some interesting ideas in your guitarwork (shame I am not a musician), bring them to the front and see where it leads.

Just to let you know ... due to unfortunate circumstances some of the members of "Lidice" is now homeless and fighting to survive so recording has been paused but will continue as soon as the problems are solved.

Playing music doesn't make you a rock star.

I'm not much for Black Metal, but I had a listen and I thought it sounded ok.

I congratulate you for having the drive to bother creating something. I often wish I could be bothered myself.

Thanx for taking the time. With me it's like a therapy thing first and foremost but I sometimes feel that I'm close to something listneable and with the help from Eli the vocal part fell into place I think.

If you have the time the album will be free to download once released, I don't even ask for an e-mail registration so get it!

Finally! The album is ready to be heard! Go to our Bandcamp site for the full CD with the wonderful intro by Doomus included. Have a listen and/or download in the format of your choice. It's all free so don't miss the chance!

The lyrics are also available at the site and should someone be interested in a physical CD with professionally printed covers just let me know via e-mail or a pm on the forum. The physical copies are very limited so I can't promise anything but if possible I will get you one.

As always I appreciate feedback both negative and positive so just let me have it. I won't mind! Also please help me spread the message, send the link to anyone that might be interested and post in forums where you are active. Remember that this isn't a project to make money but to spread the music, feeling, thought and will from the original Black Metal movement.

Just a quick update. We've now had more than 50 registered downloads of the 1942 album (and God only knows how many by torrents and blogs). I've had only positiv response so far. I would like to say thank you to all the kind people that downloaded, listened and also fed back their feelings. Also there are some possibilities of interviews and reviews that we still don't know how or if they will turn out but that is for the future to bring. Black Metal rules supreme!
