What's up guys? I'm the bass player of this progressive metal outfit out of Long Island, NY named Optic. Would love to hear what you think of the two song EP we put out last year "Drown The Earth." We passed out two hundred or so demos at Prog Power in Georgia and we got a lot of positive feedback. Hope you enjoy, and thank you in advance for reading my post!

1. Drown The Earth (13:18)
2. Moment of Impact (6:13 {Instrumental})

Would love to tell you what I think but I wasn't at Prog Power (probably mainly because I'm from Sweden) so I don't have a copy. Is there a youtube video or a myspace that you could link to?

I could not find anything on Youtube except a few live clips that sounded interesting but were rough quality. I shot them an email to see if they have a digital promo or something.

Wow guys, I am so stupid. I got home from work late the other night when I posted that and neglected to give you a link to the music. If any of you are still listening, here it is. Both songs are available to stream and download.

The facebook page worked but my computer bluescreened every time after something like 5 seconds worth of listening. First I thought the song was so extremely progressive so my computer couldn't even play it without blue screening but later I discovered it did it also with a Motorhead video so it had nothing to do with progression.

I found out that it was a VPN driver that f**king Cisco installed together with the network driver that f**ked things up. I removed the driver and now everything is ok!

I just found out that the damn song is more than 13 minutes!! I'll get back with a final judgement when I find the time to listen to it. Btw it kinda reminds me of a song I did with Black Anima that was more than 20 minutes.

The only differens is that that song sucked he he. It's called "The Christian Cross" and can be downloaded from here:

http://www.musicglue.com/blackanima

I guess I'm probably the only one that heard the song from start to finish!
