ENTHRAL (NOR) - Prophecies Of The Dying - CD
Norwegian Black Metal from mighty 90's. Harsh, very fast and aggressive with exactly that raw 90's sound we love, yet full of genuine atmosphere and originality underlined by guitars cold melodies, outstanding bass lines, synth parts creating the dark climate and freezing soprano vocals on the background. Imagine SATYRICON "Nemesis Divina" meets LORD BELIAL "Enter the Moonlight Gate" with a weird and morbid twist. Includes an exclusive bonus track "Awaiting the Rise of the Forest God" recorded in 1996 (ENTHRAL's first studio experience ever). In 2010 album was completely re-mastered and presents perfect sound. In different periods ENTHRAL featured members and ex-members of DIMMU BORGIR, THE LEGION (SWE), CREST OF DARKNESS, KOLDBRANN, URGEHAL, SJODOGG. A long awaited re-release of a forgotten gem originally produced by Hot Records (DIMMU BORGIR, OLD MAN’S CHILD, TULUS, AURA NOIR).

HORNA (FIN) / SACRIFICIA MORTUORUM (FRA) - Split - CD
Raw as hell Black Metal by Finnish warmasters and their French companions. This gravedesecrating crime has everything real Black Metal requires: the true necrosound, tortured vocals and masterful melodies of snowclad nocturnal coldness. Near 40 minutes of a dark journey through the haunted old Black Metal cemeteries. Exclusive CD re-release of rare vinyl split produced by Debemur Morti Productions in 2006.

DRAPSNATT (SWE) - Hymner Till Undergången - CD
Swedish atmospheric Black Metal hailing the sombre nature mysticism and grim aspects of Swedish folklore. Black Metal art entwined with acoustic passages of nocturnal woodland, nordic progressive music and cold cosmic symphonism. After highly acclaimed debut album "I Denna Skog" released in 2009 DRÅPSNATT presents their 2nd full-length - possibly the new milestone for the whole subgenre. Return to the glorious traditions of KVIST "For Kunsten Maa Vi Evig Vike", ARCTURUS "Aspera Hiems Symfonia", OBTAINED ENSLAVEMENT "Witchraft", ULVER "Bergtatt" and "Kveldsanger".

DOMGARD (SWE) - I Nifelhels Skygd - CD
Swedish Black Metal in the finest old-school traditions of the national scene (ARCKANUM, SVARTSYN, THRONE OF AHAZ). The debut full-length album of this dark brotherhood which survived founding members' prison sentence for the church arson, suicide of the former vocalist and almost 7 years of forced silence. Blessed by Loki-Lucifer "I Nifelhels Skygd" is based upon the Dark Germanic Paganism and Chaosophy of Wurmaharjaz - Thulr Ginndreksins esoteric order and Swedish Black Metal glory of the 90's.

"Swedish black metal in the finest old-school traditions of the national scene (...) Svartsyn (...)."

Since when is Svartsyn old-school?

Maybe I'm confusing them with another band, but haven't they only been active for about five years?

Maybe Svartsot? They've only been around 5 years. These names get quite confusing.

No, quite another band. I'll look into it. I remember the band in question being a one-man project by some newcomer which immediately attracted attention and cooperation from the big names in the Norwegian scene, only to turn into very bland norsecore.
