That’s right folks! We were able to produce many large site updates this year and we plan on rolling through 2010 too!!
:D

Our last few site updates have especially been massive, and contain both obscure and popular new releases, so head on over and see what’s recently arrived:
http://www.metalcdratings.com

Also, there are going to be some big changes with the site, which will take effect at the very beginning of next year. There will be a "note" added to the 'Main' page of the site on January 1st, and it will list the changes. The "note" will remain on the site for all of January.

Thanks to everyone who has supported us throughout the decade!
:)

Don't worry, I'm not going to be part of any of the regular discussions on this forum anymore.

I'm here for this spam email only...

Basically:
If you're already a regular visitor, because of this post, you now know that there's going to be some changes at the beginning of this year.
If you've never heard of the site, just check it out. I'd be very surprised if a major power metal fan didn't find it to be helpful. Even if you don't care for ratings/descriptions/reviews, you'll still learn of new releases and new bands.

Doesn't all power metal all the time get a bit boring after awhile?

Not for me - I love it.
:D
Plus, we cover a lot more than just power metal. Surf the site... you'll quickly see that we only avoid prog that is too light and death/black metal.

haha, it's cool.
I'd go nut's just listening to any one genre, though...
why no prog that is "too light "?
Just curious, not really a prog fan outside of old ELP and the like, myself.

Thanks for the ridiculous reminder of why I no longer participate in the discussions in this forum.

Only because none of the reviewers are into it. All of our tastes hover around power metal...
I actually love progressive power metal however (Lanfear, Evergrey, etc.), and if the prog is heavy enough, I always give it a chance.
In fact, my favorite CD of the last year or so is Seventh Wonder's 'Mercy falls'.

I'm sure he's not... you did ask a legit question, and that's why I answered it respectfully.

Actually, I get asked that same question on occasion.
I really haven't gotten bored of power metal ever. The key is listening to different styles of power metal... progressive power metal, symphonic power metal, traditional power metal, neo-classical power metal and so on.
:)

Well, that's good, or else he'd be just a big meanie.

I like neo-classical, along with so-called traditional heavy metal, NWOBHM, and prog-rock (ELP, Uriah Heep, etc.) etc., but, can't get into power metal, or prog metal for that matter, somehow.
It seems a bit too jaunty for my taste.
But, that's how it goes, one man's treasure blahblahblah...
