This may sound like a stupid question....but what does GMT stand for? I seriously dont know. I'm just trying to get my time zones right...i always thought that metal reviews originated from America, but now i think it could be from europe?

I just think it would help if i knew what GMT stood for....

Hey Eyesore

Can you help me?

When they say they will lock the voting threads on saturday, what time will that be? As soon as it hits Saturday (12:00...in 2 hours and 17 minutes....going by Swiss time), or at the end of Saturday (12:00 am Sunday)?

I need more time to finalise my votes, damn it

Send Adam a PM. I think it'll be some sort of US time, no doubt. It won't be 12am here for another 8 hours and I doubt Adam will be locking them at midnight on Friday night. It'll likely be some time tomorrow afternoon, I'd assume.

Haha! I wish I could still sleep till noon! Maybe I should get drunk more often, but a pregnant wife makes that difficult, as you might imagine.

Oh, and the voting threads are locked.

Yes, GMT does stand for Greenwich Mean Time, however it has
nothing to do with Switzerland. Greenwich is a town in England.
The reason for GMT being the 'center' of time so to speak, goes
back to colonial times.

That's the town that the Prime Meridian goes right through. See, you do learn stuff in American Public Schools! :P
