Who designed the layout for MR and how long has it been this way?

What's the policy on to revamping the layout?

There is no policy. When the owners deem it time to change the layout, I'm sure they'll do so.

The layout is fine the way it is IMO, one of the reasons I like this place.

I for one totally disagree and find this layout rubbish. Too many happy colours for a metal site.

Try smiling once in a while, it may help.

There has been discussion of a "V 2.0" of the site, but I'd say that's pretty far off at this point. The layout would likely change completely, but the forums would probably retain the same feel and format.

This is a huge project I'm talking about here. Chris and Philip would be in the driver's seat on that one, but it's just a time prohibitive thing right now.

I like it as it is. Please don't change the visual too much, if / when the time comes.

What the hell are you talking about? Did I post porn? Did I spam? Did I intentionally start flame wars? Come on, bud, what's the problem?

You post nothing but spam sometimes. Think about that Countermeasures thread of mine, which you already derailed after more or less ten posts. I'm not bothered if you do it in Helheim, but spamming in the 'censored' forums which you among others should be censoring is a faux pas. And an excuse like "it's natural for a thread to go off-topic" is bullshit, I'm on plenty of boards where everyone is sensible enough to follow the guidelines.

Do mind that moderatorship is not only a question of rights, but also of duties. I'm sorry that this all is directed to you as you're the most frequently seen admin on the forums, but it has to be said.

Well, you could always spend more time at that strictly regimented forum if it bothers you so much? Because, I'm sorry, it is natural for a thread to go off-topic. Why? Because this is conversation! Are you telling me when you're hanging out with friends and someone is telling a story, or talking about something, it NEVER goes into a different direction? Someone doesn't interject something that has nothing to do with the conversation at hand and then everyone is talking about something different? That same thing happens here on a messageboard. It's NATURAL!

I don't fucking spam anything. I suggest you educate yourself on what spam is when it comes to a messageboard. Shall we ban the entire board? Because if I post spam here, everyone does!

Don't count on anything changing anytime soon. It would enable us to show up on search engines, whereas we barely do now. Also, we'd have grearter flexibility to add some more features (searching, etc...) This is really on the backburner, and in the infancy stage of discussion though.

You could just do that with a single page with a bunch of links to reviews on it. It wouldn't have to impact the existing site at all.
