Shall we rename this web and call it the Black-ExtremeMetalreviews.com?? I was just reading this last week reviews and O my God there is just death metal and blackened metal… Its been just way too long since this started and I remember clearly it was full of Power-Epic-Progressive-True Heavy Metal. You need to get 2 or 3 reviewers for that type of metal please!!!! Cheers |

I reviewed Darkest Era a couple of weeks back, Shadow Host, Evergrey, A Sound of Thunder, White Skull to name a few others as well. Start paying attention. |

I remember seing the exact same thread a few years back. I will say you the same thing that's been said to those complaining then: if you want more variety in the reviews published on Metal Review, do not hesitate to apply as a reviewerer and provide it. |

It comes up every so often, yes. "Review more of my favourite genre or rename your website!" There's no denying that when it started MR had a lot more focus on power metal, but times and tastes change, and we have fewer writers these days. I still think we hit a fairly even mix - you neglected to mention alt rock and prog/thrash reviews this week, and the week before had goth/industrial, thrash/power, and something called 'groovy melodic sludge'. |

Hey Tale, I remembered you as one of the shithead posters from the Volbeat thread. Not surprised to see you posted this just now. So like Frenchman said, instead of complaining why don't you go apply and give your flawless 100/100 reviews to the latest Freedom Call or Volbeat album?

There's a ton of power metal that's been reviewed here. The Search tab is your key. Use it.

It's ok people, it's ok, everything will go just fine.. I guess I just miss the old Danny-Chris days very much. I remember you from the volbeat thread, that made me laugh..

I'm late to the party. However, I echo what others have said and say that there is still a fair amount of other genres reviewed on this site. Also, lol @ North's and Kyle's comments. I love how cranky and funny North can be at times. |
