Post subject:  Thin Lizzy Classic?

MR.com is sorely lacking in the Thin Lizzy department, as some of you have pointed out in the past. I want to give them the respect they deserve with a classic, but which to start with?

At this point, Jailbreak and Black Rose are the only two I have, so please refrain from chiding me for the lack of choices. I used to have Fighting, but it got stolen a few years back and I haven't gotten around to replacing it.

You should get Live & Dangerous.. As classic as Live after Death for me.

I'm a lonely cowboy...

My vote goes to Jailbreak

Black Rose! :dio: Not one weak song on that album when Jailbreak has quite a few.

One thing Adam, you should know the whole Lizzy catalogue before reviewing an album.

I've heard almost all of them at one point or another (save for Renegade and the live albums), but those are the only two albums I have at the present time, and I don't like writing reviews off memory alone. I would hope this would "qualify" me to write a Lizzy review, but to be honest I really don't care.

Why? I didn't with Rush.

Sure but your plan was to review about everything Rush has ever released...
Doesn't seem like Adam's plan.
And then, would you had done it properly, maybe you wouldn't have delivered such a poor review of Hold Your Fire! :P

Pfft. You want a different review, apply to join the team and write it yourself. I summed that album up perfectly, and left room for disagreement.

Maybe it is my plan, how would you know from my first post in this thread?

Sorry if I'm not worthy in your eyes to review some Lizzy, but like I said before I really don't care. I'm asking for opinion here, not permission.

Did I say you weren't worthy?
Hell! I'd better see a review by a (relative) Lizzy beginner than no review at all! :)

@ Mr Almighty Goat
I was kidding you know... :P

No, but it was implied. I've been listening to hard rock and metal (Lizzy included) since '92, so I wouldn't consider myself a beginner, relative or not.

Sorry if I ofended you, that was not my intention...
I, myself, have been listening to metal since the early 80's. Guess I'm just a little bit older than you.
Anyway, looking forward to your review. I hope it'll be Black Rose! :dio:

No apology needed, I'm a little sleep deprived and testy at the moment, so I jumped the gun a little.

In an honest moment, me too! But I believe in giving the people what they want when possible. I'll end up reviewing both in the long run I'm sure.

I like you and all, but you have a shitty sense of humour.

And shitty taste in Rush.

I love Black Rose but i think Jailbreak should be CLASSIC first, Emerald is one of my favourite Thin Lizzy songs.

Two Thin Lizzy classics :)

And Adam, why don't you do both now (not on the long run)?

Just because there are so many other archives/classics that I want to do, and I'm not real big on reviewing the same band twice in a short time frame. It may not be very long between the two, but I don't want to speculate.
