Which deserves the CLASSIC treatment?

Aspera Hiems Symfonia is one of the best bm albums ever. Its original, its definitely bm but its unique and creative :omfg: :omfg:

Who was doing space-themed bm at that time?

And who was using keyboards as well as Arcturus? (Desides Burzum)

+ It has GARM!!!!!! GAAAAARRRRRRMMMMMMM!!!!

Seriously, classically-inspired, space-themed, key driven black metal (But still with some cool riffs), with Garm on vocals and Hellhammer on drums. Enough said.

The best song on Chaos AD is the New Model Army cover, its a really poor album. Roots is better as far as....(dare it say in the presence of ken??)..... nu metal, goes. Beneath The Remains for classic status!!!!

I was going to vote for Heathen, but then i remebered that Heathen doesnt classify with the deffinition of Classic in this site, if the first couple of Metal Church albums and Agent Orange doesnt deserve Classic status because they werent influential enough, then Heathen doesnt deserve it either, Pleasure to kill is the Classic here (according to this site standards.).

I think that you could definitely argue the "classic" qualities of any of the albums listed. However, if it is decided by the majority of the team that the winner of the poll is not deserving, I will still review it as an archive.

Now that this has become a real horse race, I will leave the voting open for at least another week.

For me a lot of the albums listed are Classics, but when someone reviews an album that doesnt made the Classic status, the usual response is that it wasnt influential enough, i just dont found it coherent when a Machine Head album gets to be Classic and Metal Church doesnt and then make a list nominating Heathen as Classic, i just dont see how Heathen was more influential than Metal Church even if Heathen is one of my favourite Thrash bands.

I hear you, and I agree with almost all of what you said. Plus, keep in mind that these nominees are straight from numerous forumite requests. I guess what I'm saying is that if any of these albums were reviewed as classics, I doubt there would be a huge uproar.
