It was ok as an episode. I'd just like to comment that it's not considered a "new season" exactly, it's more like the continuation of season 11 that started in March (2007). I'm not sure there will even be a season 12. But in any case, it's good to have South Park back. I had really missed it all those months. |

I actually heard somewhere they extended Trey Parker and Matt Stone's contract another four years or so. "I'm Chriii...iiis Ha...aaaanson." |

It would be nice if there were fewer episodes centered around Cartman. Don't get me wrong. I think he's still the show's best character. But you can only see so many "Cartman picks on Butters, Cartman wreaks havoc, etc" episodes until you finally grow a little tired. |

Ah, it was OK. Giving Cartman Tourette's was an odd choice, as he's prone to saying outlandish and hateful things anyways. They should have given it to someone like Stan or Kyle since they are more pure-hearted. It would have created a better sense of tension. |

Yeah but they wouldn't have pretended to have tourettes so it sort of voids all of what was funny with the episode. maybe they could have got Randy to have tourettes. I love how he blows everythign out of proportion, It rules |

I'm watching Season 1 right now. I must say, it's interesting comparing South Park today to South Park ten years ago. Ten Years Ago - Political commentary/satire is virtually nonexistent. - Most of the jokes are bathroom jokes and occasional celebrity pot shots. - There's more emphasis on the actual town of South Park, and its inhabitants/landmarks/weirdness. - Cartman, Stan and Kyle's voices are much less deep. - Cartman is the stupid and annoying fat kid, rather than the scheming and almost villainous character he is today. - Stan and Kyle actually have the rationality of third graders (am I the only one who feels they've become a little too rational/logical for fourth graders?). - The plots are much less epic, and there's often more than one plot going on at a time. - Kenny still dies in every episode. - The artstyle is more simple and construction paper like. - That "epic symphonic music" in so many of today's episodes is virtually non-existent. Instead, the music usually just consists of basic banjo/accoustic guitar bits. - The kids are more childlike. |

Most of my favourite episodes are about them doing some childish stuff and getting stuck in some crazy shit. The episode where they play cops and get hired to do real police work, or the one with the LOTR tape, amazing episodes. |

They're probably my favourites though. I think South Park just got better and better with time, season 8 was amazing and then suddenly it all went to hell with season 9. The early seasons are classic, but they had some really shitty episodes too, like The Succubus, or Damien. It's nowhere near as bad as season 10 though. |
