Moving out of British Columbia this year worked out well when it comes to cheering for a hockey team :- )

It's a lot harder to watch west coast games on the east than the other way around though

Now I have to root for the Rangers, fun times.

Bruins deserved to get beat, so congrats on your team doing just that.

Kings looked pretty dominant out there, even though the Rangers gave a nice effort. The Western Conference is eons ahead of the East right now, I'd say.

That's what I was thinkin in the semifinals... whoever wins Chicago/LA will pound whoever wins NY/habs. Kind of sad that the series ended so quickly since 4 of the games were super close/coulda gone either way.

Canes have sucked all preseason and will likely suck all season. Victor Rask has looked tremendous through, will likely get a shot this year.

Bummer that J. Staal is out until new years, and that we were unable to sign a decent D-man this offseason.

I wouldn't place too much weight on pre-season results. The Canes do look like they're in for a more-of-the-same season though, not many changes on paper. The Staal injury certainly doesn't help... but they'll stand or fall with their veterans like Staal and Ward as always. If they have great seasons, which they certainly are capable of, anything is possible.

We will see, last season was a disaster. At least Ward and Staal has been consistent over the last couple of years. Both took a serious dip in quality last year, surely the injuries played a part but come on. We'll see, we're dependent on Semin, Skinner, Faulk and Sekera delivering top notch games night in and night out as well. Wildcards are certainly Lindholm who is full of potential but injury-prone and maybe a bit young still, and Khudobin. We'll see.

Toronto is thanking the Kings for Brandon Kozun.

Happy to help :)

He was always pretty good so it's not surprising, fast and didn't shy away from contact despite being tiny. Not sure if he asked to be traded or what, felt like they gave him away at the time. Why they draft these small, skilled forwards I have no idea because they never end up using them anyway, the only player under 6' on the Kings is Mike Richards but they still draft one or two midgets every draft in the late rounds anyway.

He's looked great this pre-season. Fast as hell, and has some serious skill. His size is definitely a factor, but he makes up for it with his quickness. The Leafs needed a second line winger, and it looks like Kozun will be the guy. Although Josh Leivo has looked great as well. William Nylander should go back to Sweden I think. He's got skills, as expected of a top 10 pick, but he's not quite up to NHL speed yet. Worlds Juniors are in Toronto/Montreal in 2015. Nylander will be the center of attention. And Kessels Leaf iron man streak may come to an end. He hurt himself in practice last week and didn't play in the final pre-season against Detroit. Don't know his status for Wednesday.

You know some shit has really hit the fan when the NHL postpones a hockey game in Canada.

Has the Canadian government released any more information about this incident?
