Starship Trooper is nice... it's a little bit like "Ken & Barbie go to space war where only America prevails"... and that's just what Verhoeven wanted except it's supposed to be seen as a criticism of Fascist/Militarist Amerikkka and it's a shame so many people took it as a glorification of it... no Verhoeven's best work (aka the Dutch era) but still a fine piece of work

recently :
- No Direction Home : Bob Dylan (a great documentary by Martin Scorcese on a great american artist)

up next (sometimes this w-e):
- Million Dollar Baby
- Kingdom of Heaven
- Der Untergang

Total Recall is also awsome, i think... when i was little the woman with the three boobs were the big main attraction, now it's just good ol' Arnie.. he's soo damn funny.. all the time!!! .. btw.. have you ever heard the song called "Total Recall" where a guy imitates Arnie while singing about the movie... very funny

ST was quite good, the effects especially. I didn't see any criticism, it seemed more like a meatheaded action film to me, although I saw it years ago. Maybe I'll dig it out again.

I'll have to check that Dylan doc. out, I love the guy.

I saw that the other night as well. Bob Dylan is the fucking man. He was cool, before it was cool to be cool.

Please do. It's similar to Collateral, but it features De Niro and Pacino instead of Cruise and Foxx.

The Constant Gardner.

Quite good, the end was a little unsatisfying. It was pleasant to see a leftist film that doesn't feel the need to bash you over the head with its message every five minutes.

Amelie. Great film!

Funny, the three films that I've seen Audrey Tatou in (Amelie, A Very Long Engagement and Dirty Pretty things) have all been excellent, even though she's not the world's greatest actress. Subtitled films are nearly always better than Hollywood crud, a mon avis.
