Have you ever listened to the song "In Praise of Bacchus" after breaking up with your girlfriend while drinking bargain red wine straight from the bottle to suppress your pain? |

No, but they were a kickarse band. Been considering classicking World Coming Down. Also, bitches be cray-cray. You'll find a better lady. Enjoy the wine and metal for the moment. |

Speaking of World Coming Down, have you ever just laid in your bathtub, covered in vomit, trying to recover from the half bottle of pills you washed back with a swig of red wine straight from the bottle while in the other room the song "Creepy Green Light" has been on repeat for three hours? |

I like World Coming down and October Rust. I've come to like their material, even though the albums are kinda overlong at points with filler. |

Good ol' Pete Steele you can always rely on quality from his music be it TON or Carnivore. |

Damn! Never been that hardcore but World Coming Down and Type O in general were frequently on my MP3 player while digging graves/closing out funerals at work. Nothing like Creepy Green Light playing as you rake top soil over a fresh grave on a cold autumn morning. |

Damn! Never been that hardcore @Zad: World Coming Down has their best songs, even if it isn't equal to October Rust (the album that I feel is the true classic out of their discography) in terms of number of good songs. And I really really love Life is Killing Me. That album gets a bad rap, but is fucking solid. But I do hate Dead Again. |

I would say Bloody Kisses and October Rust are both undisputed classics in their own right. Life is Killing Me is their most balanced album (and probably most underrated) with a perfect mix of slower, atmospheric depressing music mixed with faster pop metal songs. I feel the fast bits on LIKM blend easier than the hardcore thrash influenced pieces of Bloody Kisses. I never really gave Dead Again a fair shot until recently where it has grown on me a little. I feel that Dead Again encompasses everything that TON has ever done, going back to the Slow Deep and Hard and Carnivore days, like a big melting pot and can be seen as a portfolio of Peter Steele's work as a whole. |

Have you heard the Pete-less Type O continuations, the bandmembers' acts after his death? Seventh Void: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Q6OuTevz8M0 A Pale Horse Named Death: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vGzPuMbS ... A9B59B84F2 I wrote a review for the most recent Pale Horse album, a definite John Christ solo album vibe to it, but I would easily put those three albums over Dead Again, even if they lack Pete's classic vocals. Very few bands are as eclectic as Type O. Like the jumps from doom to gothic to pop to hardcore is done like no other. |

Just listened to their Black Sabbath cover. The fact they don't have an album of Sabbath covers is a travesty. |

I read in an interview with Peter Steele that he was planning on doing an album of just covers. |

Don't know why I put off checking these acts out for so long as a I am digging the Sabbath meets Alice in Chains vibe going on. traptunderice wrote: Have you ever just laid in your bathtub, covered in vomit, trying to recover from the half bottle of pills you washed back with a swig of red wine straight from the bottle while in the other room the song "Creepy Green Light" has been on repeat for three hours?
Have you ever performed cunnilingus on your menstruating lady friend while listening to “Wolf Moon” next to the fireplace on a cold winter’s night? |

![]() That's some imagination. I prefer the slower TON. Peter Steele was freaking awesome and he fits the title of Prince Of Darkness more than Ozzy. He had the personality, look and that damn voice. Man did he sound like Dracula. |
