South African police brutality/racism

Jesus fucking christ.....this is one of the most fucking vile, disgusting things I have ever heard of in my life. Just happened two days ago.

Not surprising.

Nothing's really changed in South Africa. In fact with increasing corruption, crime and nepotism it's getting worse.

Just cause you can vote doesn't make the world any better.

Not suggesting South Africa is the only place this sort of thing happens. The thread title just reflects that this particular incident happened there.

As far as my "most vile and disgusting" comment in my OP, that's sort of with regards to the ridiculously blatant nature of the incident, dragging a guy through the streets on the back of a van with a multitude of onlookers, with absolutely no regard whatsoever. It's like they don't even care about keeping up appearances. Not that it makes much difference in the end, but a world where the police don't even try to pretend to care that they are supposed to have a duty of care kind of terrifies me even more than the usual police brutality.

This is atrocious and deserved to be dragged out into the light. Now if only the media would be just as keen to report the hundreds of white victims of black racism in Suid-Afrika, that would be great. Well, nope.
