hey thrash figure everyone else is probably gonna get sick of the cricket talk this summer so starting this thread shame you can't watch the game because David Warner is DESTROYING south africa 100+ already and Clarke has just passed fifty, seventy plus runs in half an hour this is insane |

Yeah, I'm seeing the scores on my phone. I'm fucking devastated that that Quiney went out for a duck. He's been such a prolific opener for the Bushrangers, I thought he was a ready made test batsman. Meanwhile Warner is now guaranteed to keep his spot after making that century, but I have mixed feelings about it because I'm still not convinced he's a new ball specialist. As I said the other day, I want Quiney to get another chance, I want Ponting to retire, and I want Warner to move down the order to Ponting's position. Anyway, besides all that it seems like we're doing ok. Hussey looks like he's still in good form so far, and if pup can smash out another huge score, with wade still to come, we could be looking at a very nice total. |

if Warner can play the way he did consistently I don't have a problem with him opening the batting, Cowan seems like the perfect test batsman, knows his game and doesn't mind batting long periods without making a great amount of runs but he can punish loose deliveries, shame he got out so cheaply, Quiney I don't know about just yet I'm a bit surprised Dan Harris or Michael Klinger haven't had a call up yet, Tom Cooper and Callum Ferguson can't be far off test call up either, and Khawaja man I want that kid back in the team, Ponting needs to retire, should have retired as soon as he lost the captaincy |

Yeah, I reckon Khawaja's next in line for a call up, just based on the selector's previous choices. He'll be back in the side eventually. All those other guys you mentioned are great batsman too, and I wanna throw up the name of Aaron Finch as well. He's already had two innings with over 150 runs this Ryobi Cup for the Bushrangers, he's in ridiculous form. We're not short of great bowlers either, I reckon we're poised to take over world cricket again in the next few years. Bring on the bloody poms! And may I just say, Michael Clarke, what a fucking legend. He makes 200 look like child's play out there. Too easy! He's looking like the Don for fucks sake! Obviously not words I use lightly! Hey did you happen to see, a guy called Abdul Hasan made his test debut for Bangladesh today against the West Indies. He's a bowler, he came to the crease at number 10. Scored 113. On debut. As a bowler. His first 100 came off 108 balls. He is going to make a GAZILLION dollars playing 20/20! |

yes I did see that impressive but bear in mind the West Indian bowling attack isn't the best going around, a century for a bowler is still very impressive but I question if he would have been able to do it against England, India, Sri Lanka or us, the way the South Africans are bowling he'd have made a double ton against them though shame Huss got out right on stumps, but hey back to back tons for him, back to back tons by opening batsmen and back to back double tons to Michael Clarke, and we still have Perth plus some tests against Srii Lanka this year, if pup isn't the number one test batsman in the world the ICC must be blind |

I actually couldn't believe he wasn't already ranked number 1 after the last test. How many bloody runs does a guy have to score in one year before he's number 1?? Yeah, shame about Huss, but Wade will come out and score some runs, and even without Wade we're in a position now where our bowlers can just come out and swing for their lives. Siddle's been known to whack a few fours, and even a six or two. |

just go for it now I think, try and score some quick runs and if we lose our wickets well South Africa will still be over fibe hundred behind, few early wickets with Kallis unable to bat and they will be in real strife, may even force the follow on |

Relax, we're still in the box seat. Besides, tail's wagging a bit now. Pattinson's starting to knock boundaries like a pro. |

and that is a MASSIVE six by Pattinson, he's a chance of a half century here |

actually no he isn't out caught but it was fun while it lasted, 550 on the board we will need to bowl well though, need wickets or the saffers will do the same thing to us we have done to them |
Author: | Thrashtildeth [ Fri Nov 23, 2012 2:38 am ] |
Post subject: | |
Well, that's that. I'm happy though. 550 is good on any wicket, on any day of the week. And it looks the wicket's got a bit in for the bowlers today, so if our quicks can bowl a nice line and length we can really ram home a victory. |

a really hostile spell from Siddle and Pattinson could really damage South Africa, fifteen minutes to lunch imagine if we had SA two or three down at lunch with no Kallis, especially if we can get Smith and Amla |

Pretty obvious now the wicket favours the batsmen. Could be long day in the field for us... |

We need a fucking wicket!! |

Post subject: | |
how happy is David Warner right now, hundred runs and a wicket, that had to be THE WORST wicket ball in history, and Amla would be filthy on himself even now, out stumped to a full toss need to get Smith out pretty early on tomorrow, hope the quickies get some good rest and come in all guns blazing tomorrow morning with that reverse swing could really catch South Africa if they aren't really concentrating, we're still a chance of bowling them out before the follow-on, they're still about four hundred behind with eight wickets in hand but two in form batsmen are in the shed and one is injured, just need to snare Smith and we're right on top again |

WHAT A GREAT START!!! two new batsmen at the crease and Smith is OUT, South Africa still over 300 behind and just six wickets remaining |
