Enjoyed what I've read from him more or less (Anathem and Reamde both good if overblown and especially with the latter, drawn-out) but currently reading Seveneves and enjoying much more. The whole 'surviving in space' aspect is fascinating.

Finished it on Sunday and indeed it's bloated. admittedly i just can't stand his 50+ page, hyper-detailed action scenes. They were near unreadable in The Baroque Cycle, and just slightly less bloated on Reamde. The whole Jihadist thing was also meh. i don't know why he'd turn the book into an action thriller, when the premise with a hyper realistic MMORPG game world developed with the input of borderline insane people (like Don Donald, Skeletor, the tectonic plates guy, and Richard Forthrast himself), and a hunt through both the online and offline worlds for the Trolls was interesting enough. why the fuck does he insist on these ridiculously detailed action scenes in every fucking book? argh.

(will probably read Anathem... worth it for fans of non-action Stephenson, right?)
