Jokes and stories of tyranny go here.

Wonderfully sarcastic obituary from the Telegraph:

Quote:
The six operas he composed during a period of two years were said to be "better than any mankind had ever created", though, sadly, no recordings appear to have been allowed out of the country.

Quote:
It is estimated that between two and three million North Koreans succumbed to starvation in Kim's first decade in power – a tenth of the population. Escapees spoke of scavenging bands of skeletal orphans gnawing on bark and leaves, and human flesh being sold for meat in the country's depleted markets.

Quote:
In 2008 it was suggested by a Japanese historian that Kim Jong-Il had died in 2003, and had, since that point, been replaced by four body doubles for public appearances.

Rot in festering slime, you cunt.

He definitely won't be as bad. He studied in Switzerland, speaks English, German and French. North Korea won't become a democracy anytime soon, sure, but he probably won't be the freaky asshole his father was.

That said, Gaddafi was a cool guy the first 3 years...

edit: err... this post is poorly worded: I did not imply the simple fact to have studied in Europe is enough to be a good guy. Of course not.

...

OK, I did. Sorry.

apparently his youngest son was picked as successor for being just like his old man, unlike the eldest son.

and Bashar al-Assad was also just some guy training in ophthalmology in London...

Funny how this year almost every world leader against USA died or got dethroned. Assad is on the edge and Ahmedinejad is the only one that remains strong. Kind of.

God is on USA's side. Go USA.

I wonder how long before we impose sanctions on Korea, and then decide to invade them in defense of Israel.

I'm sure he will be a figurehead .. I even wonder what real power Il held given the fact the country seemed not to skip a beat during his stroke.

If it were not for Kim Jong-Il, we would not have had the awesome Team American movie.

I trhink his rule was worth it just for inspiring that hilarious movie.

"So ronery" and "Hans Brix you're breaking my barrs"

Team America's getting a bit over-referenced these days for me to really like it any more.

My prediction: Jonah Hill will win an oscar in ten years' time for his portrayal of a young man thrust into dictatorhood. With Russell Brand as Kim Jong-Il, and Jason Statham as Barack Obama.

I heard he liked Call of Duty.

Hope he doesn't try to re-enact it now that he has guns and soldiers and shit.
