I've noticed that most people here have interests in politics, history philosophy, etc. but haven't seen much interests in physical sciences or math.

I love it. I'm studying physics and math in school right now and am super excited about my couses, specifically Differential Equations 1, Modern Physics 1 and Thermodynamics.

Anyone else love physics, math or astronomy?

You mean most people have an interest in debating politics, history and philosophy. I have yet to see a math related multi-page flame war in any forum.

Neither have I. I wasn't really trying to start a debate, I was just curious to see if there was anyone else here who shared the same interests. From what I've read, everyone else in uni seems to be studying something relating to the humanities. I do remember that someone on this forum got into MIT but I forgot what his name was or what he was studying...

I'm in Med School now studying to become a Dietician/Nutritional Physiologist, and right now I'm buried in especially Bio-chemistry and Bio-sciences.. Anyone else on that subject?

I'm a computer engineer (specialized in semantic & ontology systems for banks) and I'm very interested in biology & evolution. Some kind of science nerd here.

I really enjoy algebra, moving numbers around in an equation. It's like a puzzle and once it comes naturally it's very satisfying. Not sure what to do with that though

I love to watch documentaries about physics, space, quantum mechanics, robots and stuff like that. Not a big fan of learning it myself by reading books though... I just kinda want to know what's been figured out instead of figuring it out myself.

I'm have a bachelor's degree in electrical engineering... Unfortunately I really hate that stuff. Should have studied something else.

i'm studying management but took a bunch of finance courses both in undergrad and master's. other than that i really loved operations research in my undergrad but sadly didn't get the chance to take a more advanced course. also had 3 statistics courses, didn't love it but it's obviously a very useful course.

Going into my third year of nursing this fall. So I really enjoy health sciences and what not.

Was never any good at math. It scares me now, more than anything . I dread taking Statistics in my fourth year...

It's a nightmare. I failed at my first exam and skipped the re-exam because I was going to fail again anyway. I just moved it to my second year.

I'm an electronics and audio engineer. Currently, i'm investigating and trying to piece together all the bits on information known regarding free energy devices. I don't really wanna talk about it all that much though. It is something of an open secret that these devices do exist, but officially they are regarded as "not science" by established channels that insist you must burn fossil fuels to create energy. You will never ever see such a device on the market. Various inventors have done this sort of thing dozens of times and have been told by the PO that what they have is a perpetual motion device and it is a scam, even if they are doing exactly what they claim. The most I would do with it if I could figure it out is build insanely powerful amplifiers and make it a secret that they exist. I wouldn't ever reveal what is going on inside the circuits that would explain the massive magnification of the transformed signal either.

Im an electircal/electronics engineer, my main field was communications but im more inclined to hardware programming and digital systems, right now my work has more to do with maintenance and administrative duties than anything else, but i still play with my old FPGA board from time to time

I have majors in both Math and Computer Science. I'm now in a Computer Science Master's program and working full-time as a professional software developer.
