Direct from Brazil (Media Piracy Capital Of The World) comes a truckload of blatant Disney/Dreamworks/etc. CG movie rip-offs. Among them are the following films:

Ratatoing (a rip-off of Ratatouille)
Toy Tales (a rip-off of Toy Story)
Gladiformers 1 and 2 (rip-offs of Transformers 1 and 2)
The Little Panda Fighter (rip-off of Kung Fu Panda)
What's Up?: Balloon To The Rescue (rip-off of Up)

And so on.

Here's the responsible company's Wikipedia Stub: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ratatoing#Ratatoing

And, as a bonus, here's the entire Ratatoing movie on Youtube. As you can probably expect, it's (pun not intended) deliciously awful:

Oh, and here's their sister company: The Asylum, which does the same kind of thing with live-action movies. For example, The De Vinci Treasure (a rip-off of The De Vinci Code, of course): http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Asylum

Ahhhh, The Asylum. The company that brought us the greats of Snakes on a Train, Transmorphers, Alien vs. Hunter, Paranormal Entity, The Day the Earth Stopped and Megashark vs. Giant Octopus. Where would we be without you?

LOL. That sounds like a bad Japanese translation.

Their movies have been stinking up the direct to video section of video stores everywhere for years. They're so fucking awful.

Either the kids in that movie are totally devout catholics, or they're going to be facepalming for the rest of their lives once they realise what they've done to their careers.

Actually, according to IMDB and Amazon.com, that was one of the better Assylum rip-offs. Probably because a High School Musical rip-off doesn't demand as big a budget as a Da Vinci Code rip-off.

Here's a fun IMDB review:

Quote:
My family and I sat down to this film with a bowl of popcorn and high expectations. I couldn't let my children watch the "High School Musical"s films and I was hoping that this film would let them in on the popularity of "High School Musical" AND still promote those family and religious values that my husband and I hold dear. Instead we find characters who are mean to one another and even immoral behavior (the main characters share a pre-marital kiss at the end of the film!)

However, the music promotes good faith and the choirs are exceptional. I found that the story was a beautiful display of caring and community. I just wish that we could show our children how they're SUPPOSED to behave (not how other, less holy families' children behave) and still tell the same story.

So close and so disappointing.

I'm sure it was supposed to be a joke.
