No offense to the other mods, but I think locking threads in Helheim is lamoooooo. So lame I should lock this thread out of spite... So what do you people think?

This is a pretty subjective matter, but I do agree that some threads should be locked because they're completely unnecesary and/or stupid. I know that's the purpose of Helheim, a free topic forum, but sometimes total freedom is not good. Now gay people can marry in some countries for god's sake, that's against nature!

I remember a time when Helheim was opened even for non-registered users and wasn't moderated AT ALL... Those were good times...

I'm of the opinion that censorship is almost always bad and debate is the way to go. However, some moderation is needed, and instead of locking threads it would probably be better if staff members intervened against ad hominems and direct attacks during debates.

But I find personal attacks stupid and very infantile. People that make personal attacks should be cursed to listen to Nickleback all eternity.

Some of the comments I've received would have earned their author a formal warning, it not a temporary suspension.
