Ok, usually it's fun, intelligent, and makes a decent point. But occasionally Parker and Stone demonstrate not knowing jackshit about what they're criticizing, like the Go God Go thing. And that whole fucking Cartoon Wars was utterly stupid and avoidable.

I've never liked South Park. Don't see what's so good about it.

Actually I just finished watching the first three series of American Dad, and I have to say, the humour is a lot more intelligent than Family Guy, although the slapstick value of FG is funnier. And South Park can suck both their cocks.

American Dad is not funny. My little brother loves it, for some reason, and I've been forced to sit through a few episodes of it. Gawdawful rubbish.

Yes it is. The jokes are a lot more thought out.

"You can't choose your father, but you can choose your father figure. I chose my mother. That set me back a bit."

C'mon, that's hilarious XD

Yep, American Dad is shit.

South Park was great until around season 9.

Family Guy is consistently awesome.

Why is American Dad shit?

American Dad is all about Roger the Alien. he's the centerpiece of the show, really, and all of the good satire comes from his character. The rest of the family is pretty bland. Stan can be funny in a scary "OMG some people in America are really like that" sort of way.

I also find it funny that most people are on board the South Park wagon, that is until the Offensive Train makes a stop at their particular station. It's the Isaac Hayes Effect.

I'm only "against" SP if it misses the point or stupidly points fun. The episode on atheism demonstrated complete ignorance of what the concept of atheism actually is.

Must an animated tv-show always have constructed criticism? go read some essays instead of watching tv :lame:

Don't blame them for you completely missing the point. They were pointing out that a world without religion would not be some sort of peaceful utopia like some atheists claim. The point was, in fact, that people will always find a reason to hate and kill one another. That's a viewpoint I can't really disagree with. It's true, and most people won't admit to it because it shatters the false illusions of mankind ever coming together and forming a better humanity and all of that hippie shit.

Religion is NOT the root of all evil, no one's arguing that. It's not a worthwhile criticism to make, and there's definitely a coherence gap between that criticism and a dismissal and ridicule of atheism, as they did at the end of the episode. Even Dawkins didn't find it interesting, the only thing he bitched about was that the guy who voiced him sucked at British accents.

All of those cartoon series just don't make me laugh. I am not into that kind of humour. If i want to laugh watching a cartoon ill just watch I don't know A sword In The Stone... :)

Again, you missed the point. They weren't dismissing Atheism wholesale, but rather a certain group of atheists who hold stupid beliefs. The teenage angst-ridden mallgoth version of atheism, if you will. Just like South Park has never ridiculed or dismissed Christianity wholesale, but rather certain groups of small-minded Christians.

The recent seasons of South Park pretty much suck. The earlier seasons were amazing, though. Season 2 is hysterical.

Family Guy sucks balls. Haven't bothered with American Dad.
