Gen. info: New poster here. Previously a member of the french forum Les Immortels which I left because too many posters were youngsters with close to no idea and interest about older music. Music left aside, married, one boy (2 years old) and, generally, an easy going an happy fellow.

If you don't mind, I'll add one:
How did you discover metal? My big brother had one album by Judas Priest (Sad Wings of Destiny) and didn't like it (he was more into pop) so he gave it to me. I was 11 years old and that's how it all started

How you discovered Metal Reviews: Googling 'metal reviews'
Gen. info: Write for MR, moderate MR forums, married, father of a 1 year old girl, huge Eagles, Yankees, Blackhawks, and Pacers fan. Robert DeNiro is the person I would most like to meet. My wife understands that if Jennifer Connelly ever wanted to marry me, she (my wife) is history.

I also listen to a lot of classic rock, progressive rock and all kinds of celtic/irish music.

How you discovered Metal Reviews: ELIAS! (Frigid Symphony) I met him on the Sonata Arctica Forum, and was chatting with him about how much the forum sucks, because it was too safe and there were too many rules, so he showed me this place.

Real first name: Marty

Age: 25 (will be 26 in two weeks)

Location: A little suburb outside of Detroit, Michigan

Job/school?: College student (see the "Gen Info" section below)

Favourite five bands of the moment: Megadeth, Exodus, Machine Head, Iron Maiden, Slayer (bear in mind that these aren't necessarily my overall five favorite bands)

Current favourite album: Megadeth - The System Has Failed

Non-musical interests: Weightlifting, Swimming, Metaphysical Philosophy, Computers, Gaming, Old-School Cartoons, Urban Studies, Volunteerism, Hanging Wit' My Homies, Sociology, etc.

How you discovered Metal Reviews: I think I accidentally found it when looking for a review of St. Anger about five years ago.

Gen. info: I'm a pursuing a double major in Mathematics and Computer Science, and I'm striving to become a professional software developer. When I'm not doing school work, I'm usually working out, doing outside comp-sci related studies (right now, I'm trying to teach myself Java and SQL, and I'm the VP of my school's ACM - Association For Computing Machinery chapter), hanging out with my buds, reading, gaming, and of course, listening to rock/metal.

How did you discover metal?: Quite by accident, actually. I used to be one of those "metal is just noise" types. Until I started sporadically hearing it either in my friend's car or when playing video games. Eventually, I had to admit to myself that I like the genre. And so now I've been a fan for almost nine years.
