Welcome aboard! Nice to see a fellow Noise fan, although I'm pretty casual with it, hardly listen to much and prefer Sonic Youth's nicer moments to Merzbow. Should listen to more Boredoms.

Super AE is definitely the place to start for The Boredoms. And Merzbow did a few splits with Boris that are definitely worth checking out even if you're not that big a fan.

Real first name: Cory
Age: 26
Location: Altus, Oklahoma
Job/school?: Airfield Manager in USAF.
Favourite five bands of the moment: Alice Cooper, Blind Guardian, VNV Nation, Black Sabbath, Ronnie James Dio (in all phases of his career)
Current favourite album: Dio - The Last in Line
Non-musical interests: Video games, watching TV with wife (Modern Family is hillarious), reading non-fiction, working out.
How you discovered Metal: Grew up listening to classic rock, eventually led to nu-metal during high school (Korn, Distrubed, Manson, etc...) until 2002 when I joined the military. Met a friend that introduced me to bands like Sonata Arctica, Symphony X, etc... and just started expanding my horizons from there. Last couple of years have been spent exploring 80's metal and 70's rock.
How you discovered Metal Reviews: I have been keeping up with the site since 2002 to stay on top of new bands to listen to.
Gen. info: I am a career military guy, happily married with a kid on the way. Music is the dominant part of my personality, and I love talking about it with anyone that cares to listen (not a fan of people that troll just to start shit). I was accepted on as a reviewer for the site last month and I am enjoying the opportunity to expand my knowledge in any way possible, as well as add lesser known entries into the archives. Please feel free to provide constructive comments on my work, as I am always looking to improve. Also throw recommendations my way of older material you would like to see reviewed, and I will give it a shot if able!

Current favourite album: Арона - От сердца к небу

How you discovered Metal: my father is an old school metalist (black sabbath, metallica, iron maiden...), but my real fist love was Rhapsody's "Power of the Dragonflame", CD that my friend gave me as a gift.
How you discovered Metal Reviews: Googled it...
