I'd go with Hillary.

Obama makes a good in your video but I'm afraid he has close to no program for his country. Hillary, on the other hand, has had the experience of her husband's administration, she tried things, often failed and, though I'm quite sure she's all ambition, I do think her presidency could be beneficial for the image of Americans and America all over the globe and. On a domestic level, I'm not sure politics have that much a power to change things...

I also wish that Obama or Gore can be vice-president as they both are, for different reasons, regarded as positive beings.

IMO this is patronising and elitist. He makes it sound like anti-trade sentiment appears because simple yokels don't understand it and use it as a scapegoat for all their problems. I guess you just need to spend a bit more on welfare, eh Barack... that will cheer them up and they'll realise that free trade was all it was cracked up to be after all.

Or, maybe they're actually right, and unregulated free trade has fucked up America's economy for a large number of people. I guess that's not the kind of thing a presidetial candidate would want to admit to.

Still I probably just about prefer him to Hilary Clinton, I think. Both would be better than McCain, IMO, please no more republicans, guys :)

Shame, he would have been a lot better President. Someone who spends his life analyzing, criticizing and dissecting the presidency and the politics involved would do a much better job than someone who focuses on how many flags he can have in his campaign ad.

Even though I'm more of a Republican than a Democrat (although I try to be as independent as possible, since both parties have their flaws and their strengths), I'm rooting for Obama in this election.

I seriously doubt that. Right now, with the way GW has screwed up our economy, just about everybody's pissed at the Republicans. Even people who otherwise support the Republican Party over the Democratic Party have been staunchly anti-Bush (even though I'm not quite as "Impeach GW!!!" as a lot of other people, I can't deny that he was in many ways an awful president). And with that being the case, I'm not sure people will really be quite so keen on voting Republican during this next election.

I don't know who I'd vote for, but I'd just like to point out that experience means jack shit. Time Magasine actually did a study of Presidents who had and didn't have experience and the success of their presidency, and essentially found that experience has nothing to do with anything. I'd also question whether Clinton's "experience" is valid at all; she did participate in the presidency, but sorry, being the spouse of a leader doesn't give you leadership experience, and some of the things she's claimed to have done (ie, like helping engineer the peace in Ireland) have been debunked.

Based on all the debates I saw on American telly while I was on a cruise ship in February, I'd have to say Obama has won me over (as if that actually counts for anything).

Even with the lack of experience or whatever, I'm all for a US President that flies in the face of convention. Of course, no politician ever keeps all (if any) of their promises, but his stance on education is a good one.

I hardly remember any of the stuff I heard, but at the time I liked his jazz better than anyone else's.

The only thing that worries me about Democrats getting in is a too-swift pull-out from Iraq, leaving the country to collapse on itself.

Interesting that people are going for Clinton, despite her stance on Iraq. She seems too Thatchery for my tastes, I think 'bama is the least evil.
