no not disco, discos. nightclubs, bars, whatever. i just wanted to know if i'm the only person who can't stand discos. i hate the music and could not dance to save my life, the booze is insanely overpriced* and... given that, what am i supposed to do there? i'm all for getting drunk and talking and shit, but none of that happens at discos, sorry night clubs. it's even worse because i wear glasses and generally look like i'm the least fun person on earth, so at a disco i look like that guy who's trying desperately to be cool. *talk about overpriced, the sign tonight said "spirits + coke £1.50" and i asked for a whiskey cola and it was 2.60, i asked why and the guy said (shouting, obiously), "vodka only" WELL WHY THE FUCK DID THE SIGN SAY SPIRITS?! bah. all i do there is wait around until enough people want to go home to share a cabe with. so yeah i hate discos and i wish there were other forms of social interaction i could engage in. |

fucking love em, working full time in one of the best in the country atm. Its so fucking good! Seen 4 top dj's this week already (2 many djs, simian mobile disco, kissy sell out (who is fucking amazing!!!) and roni size). Suppose you have to like dance musice to like clubs but atm thats all i rly listen to, i'm so not metal atm. I ware glasses to btw

I hate going to discos and hate dancing although I do enjoy watching people dance. Yeah, the music is just not something I would listen to. So, discos - NO. |

I'm goin' to disco's because like ganesha said it's a place for pickup, many easy chicks there. Price of booze vary from place to place, but in the one i'm usually goin' the booze is cheaper than in any metal clubs or fests (and btw. in my town there is only one metal club (beer there is like 18hrk and in disco i'm goin is 6hrk and in the all others beer is like 40 or more) And one more reason I go to disco's is because I feel so superior to them there (don't ask why; dirty little secret) So I say yes! to disco's! |

No to discos, because I don't feel like dancing when the old Joanna plays. It's my heart, I could take a chance but my feet just can't find a way. Funny, you'd think that I could muster up a little soft, gentle shoe sway... But nah, I just don't feel like dancing. No Sir, no dancing today! |

Fuck that. Fuck discos. If i want to get to know a girl I don't go to a disco, how the fuck can i have a decent, mature conversation with her? The only reason i'd go is to pick up fights, that is all. |

I used to find discos much more troubling than I do now, because I was lonely and insecure and felt like I needed to at least try to enjoy myself there in order to blend in with the rest of society. Now I am much more self-confident and in quite a long term relationship and all that, so I tend to take great delight in ruining everyone else's fun when they try to go to these shit holes, by refusing point blank to stay more than 10 minutes. SAY NO TO DISCOS. |

but if one doesn't like the music and doesn't dance, there's not much to do at night with college friends, which sucks. i mean sure i could have secks or something, but you usually have to go to a disco for that. then there's the "easy pussy" thing. maybe it's because i am a huge loser, but as often as i see my friends scoring with random women at discos, i have no idea how to do it myself. |

Sadly that is a fact of life in the UK... sod all to do in the evenings except get wankered and piss/vomit in the street. Fortunatley for the population that's all many of us like to do. |

Im in American and there isnt shit to do except get drink untilo you get all messy either. I used to absolutely hate going to clubs when I was a little younger. I hated teh music, the people, the "scene", the whole thing. Then i realized that if you are drunk BEFORE you get to the club it will be all good. That is the ley for me anyway. And if I am not drunk befroe I show up I most certainly am within a few minutes. Slam back a bunch of shots and just start talking. Things usually work out fine. You either get wasted and end up with some girl or you get wasted and laugh all night with your friends. Just get wasted. |

I went to one on my 19th birthday and left after 20 minutes. The music was too loud and there were too many people >.> Might have been better if I was drunk but I hate being drunk indoors and/or around lots of people. |

Well I hate clubs/discos. I went to a few and hated it. The music's too loud, bad music on top of that!! Booze is way overpriced. Basically the people here go clubbing or to the discos just to dance and get laid/boned. I can't dance to stupid songs for fucks. But I can dance to Indian beats when I'm drunk! 
I hate buying booze at discos cos some how the beers are pretty diluted. And here the trance clubs are the worst. They're filled with underworld dons, spiked beers (with some addictive drug, so the beers sell well), and it's infested with ecstasy popping bitches/dicks. Good place to pick a fight, Dago. |

I went to this bar in copenhagen where the sign said shots of liquor were 10 for 100 kr ($20 approx) in happy hour so I order 10 shots of whiskey and was informed that it I owed 450 kr because the happy hour special only applied to the gross fisherman's friend, licorice and mint flavored stuff. Drove me bonkers |
