Mmm, you guys picked my interest about that Dragon movie. The rape scene was the only good thing about Irreversible.

It's like saying death is the only good thing about ebola. There is no good thing about Irréversible.

LOL, we are talking about movies, not diseases. But yeah, Irreversible sucks big time.

For fucking serious. It was a good movie but god it was like a punch in the stomach, then the groin and then just a wretched feeling looming over you.

Girl with the Dragon Tattoo.

Good, tense, intense, had me hooked the whole film, but... My god, that rape scene was harsh as fuck.

Also, really want to see Coriolanus. Shakespeare criticized the right wing before it was cool!

"Care for us! True, indeed! They ne'er cared for us
yet: suffer us to famish, and their store-houses
crammed with grain; make edicts for usury, to
support usurers; repeal daily any wholesome act
established against the rich, and provide more
piercing statutes daily, to chain up and restrain
the poor. If the wars eat us not up, they will; and
there's all the love they bear us."

My favorite Cohen brothers movie is probably O brother where art thou.
George Clooney at his finest.

Severed Ways..... Saw it on Netflix, decided to check it out because of the cover and plot summary about the Norse discovery of America.. Boy was I surprised when I heard burzum as background music in the opening scene... And then I realized the whole soundtrack is filled with great metal bands.. What a nice surprise.....

The rating in IMDB for this movie is way too low, but I'm gonna see it anyway.

Saw yesterday The Girl with the Dragon Tatoo because everybody here seems to like it. Fortunately, I liked it too, it's very well done. The rape scene is kinda meh, I was expecting something more... br00tal.

IMDB ratings are highly questionable sometimes. The annoying US-centrism perhaps. I mean, take the Indiana Jones movies for instance:

- Raiders of the Lost Ark: 8.7 (whereas it's decent at best. Good for kids.)

- Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom : 7.5 (the FUCK?! This movie is the worst thing that happened to mankind after the Black Death pandemic wave and (arguably) both World Wars! How could it be rated that high?!)

- Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade: 8.3 (WHAT? Lower than the first one?! Come on, it's the best of them all!)

- Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull: 6.4 (OK, forget what I said above, IMDB is a great site.)

I love u 2 Bruce

Ratings are always subjective, they are only a guide. But a 4.5 score is pretty low.

No particular reason. I have just bought it on DVD knowing that it is a good movie and was wondering if you had seen it or not. That's all.

Seriously. That scene was brutal as hell.
