Castillian Spanish or Latinamerican Spanish? Coz Castillian dubs sucks big time. Latinamerican dubs are way better.

Watched The Thing last night. Classic! The CPR/nomnomnom scene is still shocking - no way a CGI'ed-up modern version can be anywhere near as good.

So I found out a way to calculate the top 10 most rented movies (since 2005~) at the store I work at:

1. Little Miss Sunshine
2. Arrested Development Season 1 (this might be from counting each disc rental as a separate rental)
3. The Illusionist
4. Death at a Funeral (british one obvs)
5. Stranger Than Fiction
6. The Departed
7. Blood Diamond
8. The Darjeeling Limited
9. Thank You For Smoking
10. Burn After Reading

We may be going out of business, but at least our customers had good taste!

what

Rest of list is good, but so mediocre. Except for Scarlett Johannson, of course.

Chasing Amy - Filling in my Kevin Smith blanks (have no idea why). Kinda dated these days, and Ben Affleck and whatshername make a very annoying couple, but a decent 'how not to do it' guide for reacting to gays or people who have had more sex than you.

haha, true. That one and Blood Diamond shocked me because I don't really remember them being that popular.

The Departed and Blood Diamond are the best of the bunch, much thanks to Leonardo DiCaprio.

I'd say Arrested Development is the best of the list. But The Departed and Blood Diamond are a close second and third. Rest of list is pretty shit.

War Horse. Had me in tears more times than I care to count, shameless heartstring tugging stuff.

Spielberg is really good at sentimentality.

Girl With the Dragon Tattoo. A dear friend of mine wanted to see this so I went and watched the movie with him. I hate anything commercialized as I'm sure a lot people here do as well so I really wasn't thrilled in watching the movie but it turned out to be a very good movie. It was well made and enjoyable, excluding the rape scene, of course.

True Grit - I hope to find a man of true grit, who is half as classy as this movie and half as witty as its characters.
