Jane Eyre. A really beautiful film but still don't know how I feel about that Mr. Rochester.

I really wanted to go and see that movie but haven't had the chance yet. The story-line and how its been portrait is quite good as I've seen from the trailer.

The Tournament

decent action movie about a bunch of billionaires who bet on a bunch of assassins who all try to kill each other, last one left alive wins. some very corny and bad moments, but the action is good. and the story, beisdes the 30 assassins running around England, is pretty believable.

The trailer made it seem spooky I thought, which I knew it wasn't.

A Prophet - What a boring, overrated film. I didn't give a damn about the main character, which pretty much killed the film since he's the only character you really get to know.

The White Ribbon - Stunning cinematography and some of the best child actors i've ever seen. Don't really know what to think about the film's theme and message; this is definitely a film you'll have to watch more than once.

Yes... well I think it was trying to build a film based on a girl that has had a a rough background; I'm sure it has a very good story-line to it.

X-Men: First Class. Not as good as X-Men 2 .. but better than X-Men 3 and Wolverine. I'd put it on par with the first X-Men. 3.5/5 for having some cheesy looking make-up effects (still haven't gotten Beast right) and cardboard villians. Still, some good acting and Emma Frost is delicious looking (even if her diamond form is kinda silly).

Watched this today, loved it for the 60s setting and the Bond villain stuff. The cameos were great, more than made up for the silly bits, like (spoiler)
Xavier trying to convince Magneto not to kill people because they were just following orders. To a Holocaust survivor!

Fassbender and McAvoy are good actors and good choices. The provided much needed credibility to an at times extremely goofy film.

Emma Frost was good looking, agreed, but January Jones is just an awful actress.

we were talking about cheesy movies and the Portuguese ninja classic (no, seriously) O Ninja das Caldas (after Caldas da Rainha, a place an hour or two north of Lisbon) came up. ultra-low budget with some awesome cheesy lines, like in this scene:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oEgCmH_tO8E

"Only 4? Tell me your names, so that I may kill you in alphabetical order!"

not a film watched recently, sadly, but one that i want to watch again now lol. classic.

It wasn't that bad. I see your point though. He was kind of a 'meh' vharacter. Pretty cool story otherwise.

Blazing Saddles plus the spinoff pilot of Black Bart. Wow. Umm Black Bart was awful. Obv I guess since it didn't get picked up. Kinda ruined all the good parts of the film.

Got drunk and watched Zardoz on the lawn of a local theater for free.

The movie is batshit insane, but fun as hell when you're drunk and in a crowd shouting jokes at the screen and laughing it up. :dio:

Melancholia by Lars Von Trier. Terribly boring. Jesus Christ

The Mechanic. Braindead but fun.
