In The Name Of The Father - Daniel Day-Lewis is the best actor of all time. Great movie.

Watched Taxi Driver. The racist undertones really caught my attention this time and it's interesting. I wish I knew more about '70s NYC.

Yeah. Those undertones are part of the reason that make me go "Ehhhhhhhhh" whenever anyone is like "Yo dude, Travis Bickle is awesome." Interesting, yes. Compelling, sure. Awesome? Well, maybe not. Also meatheads who love Tyler Durden too much bother me as well, but that's a slightly different story.

I still say it's awesome. You have definitely an alienated dude yet it pushes to the fore as racist glares and an uber-violent romp against pimps. There's something there in all of it.

Just started Scott Pilgrim vs The World. Will try to get over my intense dislike of Michael Cera.

Ok, wooh, videogame references. Cool. This and the hipster chicks being deep and ironic TOTALLY make up for the lack of story and decent acting.

You'd have to be really dumb not to see a story in that movie. If anything it suffers from novel-->movie syndrome where there's too much story and characters so things move too quickly, so things like Ramona liking him on the first date seem very off.

I actually picked up the first of the comics to see if it's be worth looking into and I had to put it down within the first 10 pages. Ugh.

You should definitely check out the comics (Oh hey, look at my avatar, blah blah) if you liked the film. There is a lot more "breathing room" between exes than in the movie, and there is a better sense of these being things that he has to battle throughout the duration of the relationship, rather than at the beginning. And none of the zany/weird/awesome stuff shows up in the first comic until the end with the dance-battle. Also the art improves throughout the volumes (practice!).

Yeah, recommending the comic of that (pile of spew of a) film to me is kinda like telling someone who doesn't like Primus that they should totally check out Korn. Unless you were being sarcastic...?

Knowing my taste in films and general awesomeness, guys, should I watch 300 Days Of Summer?

300 Days of Summer was surprisingly good. It wasn't your usual indie irony-fest. Worth the watch. Also, Zooey Deschanel

So no, I wasn't recommending it to you.

So yesterday I watched Robocop again. Always. Always Robocop.

Good movie, might be like 200 days longer than you expect though.
