I've heard good things about that one and I've been meaning to check it out for a nice horror fix.

Undisputed III

Holy fuck how was this so good?

I enjoyed this more than The Expendables. The action was on a much smaller scale, as it was mostly just people beating the shit out of each other in a ring, but the fights were filmed with more clarity than anything that was going on in The Expendables, which had too many action-obscuring quick cuts for my liking. Also, Scott Adkins is so goddamn diesel in this movie it's ridiculous. And there were no boring romantic subplots with Cordelia in the movie because it took place in maximum security Russian prisons.

I should probably write about metal more on these metal forums, but I needed a place to rant about this movie.

i liked it too. it had some really bad parts - the whole "training while doing hard labour" was hilarious, as was the two guys initially bonding over one of them being stuck in solitary and really needing to take a shit , plus lines like "LET ME FIGHT I WANT TO FIGHT!" and the guy limping all the time but suddenly forgetting his injury the moment he stepped onto the ring....

the fight scenes with Boyka and the Colombian were awesome (as they were in Undisputed 2, have't seen 1 yet), and yeah Scott Adkins is a total badass.

i think Undisputed 1 and 2 are must-watch for anyone who liked fighting movies.

Ebert watches I'm Still Here.

Apparently it isn't a hoax, although I'm still very doubtful.

Defiance with Daniel Craig.

I cannot find a flaw with this movie. Solid from start to finish.

Finally finished Youth in Revolt. God it was terribly not funny. Cera playing someone different than his George Michael Bluth impression was interesting but it was a minor aspect of the movie.

Robocop 2.

Insufficient, when I could just be watching Robocop.

Dinner for Schmucks - bad. barely got a smile out of me, and only got a laugh at the last 15-20 minutes. am i the only one who doesn't find Steve Carell that funny?

but the girl who played Julie, Stephanie Szostak, my god. i think i'm in love.

Cemetery Junction, again. Really lovely film. Absolutely wonderful. Great writing, great directing, and superb acting.

Watching the Star Trek reboot again. It gets better every time I watch it. Truly amazing movie, one of the best sci-fi flicks of the decade for sure.

The one that Ricky Gervais made? Is it really good?

I have been wanting to see it but some of the reviews have been putting me off. I'll definitely watch it now.

Juuuust watch Robocop 1.

It's like Robocop 2, but with a story that isn't a bunch of half thought-out ideas stolen from Robocop 1 (because it is Robocop 1), and globbed together in a random order. Also Robocop is in the last 20 minutes of Robocop 1 (shocking!). Plus that guy gets melted by toxic waste and it rules.

I'm being overly-harsh on Two, I know. But still.

I thought it was brilliant. Gervais has a small acting role, which is probably a good thing, as he's better as a writer/director/etc. The main actors aren't too well known, otherwise, except for Ralph Fiennes as the "bad guy".

Watch it.

Dude, of course I've seen the first one! R2 was on telly, that plus a bottle of wine = a decent evenings' entertainment.

Oh, I wasn't trying to insinuate that you haven't seen the first one (this would be silly as you seem like a reasonable human being), I was just trying to tell you my reasons as to why you should re-watch One, rather than watch Two, in case you hadn't seen Two, like I hadn't up until recently. But if Two was on, Two was on.
